Shipping Addresses Locking Soon

Okay! The global shipping/supply chain/logistics crisis is totally not fun! It's a real pain. We've been working on it, mulling it over, strategizing and pivoting. Today we're sharing with you our latest plans.

(Some) Items Shipping Soon

You, our Kickstarter Backers, mean the world to us. We are SO appreciative of you joining the project and being a part of the Bush Rescue family. 

Instead of waiting for ALL of the physical backer rewards to be ready, we're going to go ahead and do multiple shipments. 

We're going to ship out what we have in hand now! So that's the artbook, the comic, and the CD. The enamel pins are in transit as this is being written, and so we expect to ship them out with this first batch too. 

(Even for the UK and European Union folks. Those items are actually either still at their manufacturer's warehouses or are being re-routed. We hope/expect to air ship them to your local hub in the next week or two. It's one of our pivots/workarounds of the VAT registration issues. We will keep you posted.)

For the remaining items (shorts, plush boomerang, figurines, vinyl record), our plan is to ship them out in a second batch. When will that be? Early 2022 is the target. 

Pre-Order Customers

Previously, with TY1's Kickstarter, all the Backer rewards went out first, and then the pre-order orders shipped out. 

Again, because of the shipping/supply chain/logistics craziness, we're not going to do this. Everyone, Backer and Pre-Order, will be getting their artbook/comic/CD/enamel pins soon.

Final Shipping Address Reminder Email

In BackerKit, we're going to lock the shipping addresses now. This means you will receive an email showing your shipping address that is in the system, and you'll have the chance to edit it if needed... before the system locks it 48 hours later. 

What if I move after Shipping Addresses are Locked?

No worries! If you move, just reach out to us and let us know and we can edit it in the system. Email [email protected] or you can use the customer support links in BackerKit.

What if I move when a package is in transit or it gets lost?

Quartermaster Logistics is our primary shipping partner, the same as with TY1's Kickstarter. Whenever a package is lost or damaged in transit, QML's Customer Service will handle the filing of all claims (including traces for a missing package). 

If a package needs to be re-routed, there will be a small charge that you can work directly with QML about. 

You should receive an email from them (or the local partner in your region) when your package ships. It should include any tracking information, as well as customer service contact information. 

If not, no worries, just reach out to us! 

So when is the first package shipping?

Mid to Late November...? We'll share another update with you when it's close. 

Can You Spot YOU!?

Have a Captain Cook (a look)! A major milestone has been completed this week. Steve Stamatiadis has finished all the custom backer rewards of the YOU! Drawings.

Which one do you think is YOU!?

Just kidding, we've already sent each of these backers their digital file =)

So what do you think? Steve has been working for months to create the YOU! drawings. 

The files are with the printer and Steve will sign them soon before we carefully package each one and mail it to their backers. Those backers will receive their tracking numbers when we mail them out from Australia.

What's next for Steve?

The Doomeranger part 2 comic! We're looking forward to sharing some of its progress with you! (Not all of the progress, because then where's the surprise?) 

As a successful stretch goal from the TY2HD campaign, Kickstarter backers will be receiving their Doomeranger part 2 digital comic to download when it is complete. Please be aware it will take MANY months to complete. There's the outline, the inking, the coloring and the text... 

Steve's had some ideas for a potential new TY the Tasmanian Tiger game. The Doomeranger comics include some story elements he's toying with as a setup for a potential future. 

Missed the first comic? Digital copies are available via our BackerKit pre-order page, and Comixology. 

Physical copies had been all sold , but we've ordered some more. Physical Doomeranger part 1 comics are available again, and you can pre-ordered them here.

What about a TY3 Kickstarter? NexTY?

Merchandise Update - Where in the World Are Your Goodies?

G'day! It's been a while, how ya goin'? We're back with a chonky update for all the physical Backer Rewards, so buckle up, mates... let's get crackin'!

The Latest on your Backer Rewards

Welcome to all the new pre-order supporters that came in after the Kickstarter campaign! The most common question we receive is from those who missed reading in the item descriptions which states that goods are expected to ship out by the end of December.

Too Long, Didn't Read version:

• Some items now, some items later?
• Books, Comics, and CDs are warehouse bound. Enamel Pins to leave manufacturing next. TY2 Statuette, 3" Figurines, and YOU! Drawings are in progress. Vinyl records are printing at the beginning of November. Shorts and Plushes are awaiting new prototypes.
• Worldwide shipping delays and supply chain problems
• UK backer hub distribution on its own timeline due to registration delay (Brexit)

2021 TY2 Statuette

Honorary Bush Rescuer, Lord of the Rangs!, Tasmanian Tiger Treasure Trove, and Shazza's Statuette Special Backers, the 2021 TY2 Statuette has had its 3D modelling completed and handed off to manufacturing since July. We are still awaiting the test print and test painting so that we can confirm or make changes. We will share pictures of the test model as soon as we receive them. Your items will ship directly to you by air from Hong Kong when they are ready. No doubt it'll be quite heavy like last year's.

YOU! Drawing

For the backer tiers receiving a YOU! Drawing, as you know the ones included in the credits have been done since the game was submitted to Nintendo for approval. For the remaining 30 drawings, Steve Stamatiadis is just a couple of weeks from completing them! This means all YOU! Drawings will soon go to our local Australian printer. At the same time, we will email you your digital file!! You'll receive tracking info when they are on their way.  We're estimating your signed physical copy will ship out to you around the end of October.

3" Figurine

Getting a 3" Figurine collection? They are pretty far along! We've approved all 9 of the models and their 8 packages. The molds have been paid for ($$$ wow!) and queued up for production since early August. (Previous update, here and here)

Enamel Pins

Also in production are the super cute Enamel Pins. The manufacturing is expected to be completed in October and they will begin their journey to your local hub.

TY2 Artbook, Doomeranger Comic, and TY2 CD 

Already on their way to your local backer hub, except for the UK (please see below), are the TY2 Artbook, the Doomeranger Comic, and the double-disc TY2 CD. The final artbook weighs in at a whopping 990g! That's over 2 pounds. 

TY2 Vinyl Record

The double-disc TY2 Vinyl Record had its test pressing back in April (link) and manufacturing was paid for and scheduled shortly after... thankfully! It grabbed the next available slot - of early November.

Plush Boomerang + TY2 Swim Shorts

Last but not least are the Plush Boomerang and the TY2 Swim Shorts. We've received prototypes of both products though they did not reach our expected quality bar and so additional requests have been made.

Worldwide Shipping Delays

In January, when we kicked off the project, we had intended to start heavy items on their journey out of manufacturing by sea freight. We've been caught up in the zaniness of worldwide supply problems. You might have heard that Costco's secured their own container ships? That in Australia we are already facing longer than usual wait times for deliveries and now various delivery companies have had employee strikes?

Here's what we are doing about it for you! We didn't send those heavy books by sea. We didn't want to risk them getting held up at a port, like is happening in Long Beach, California. The goodies are hoofing it, along with the comics and the CDs, by air freight. And we're going to do the same for all the items when they leave manufacturing. 

UK Backer Hub

We also jumped on getting registered in the United Kingdom for VAT registration. We knew because of Brexit that there would be delays. 

We're honestly baffled by how long it's taking. At this time, the UK bound backer items that are finished (artbook, comic and CD) are being stored at their manufacturer's. 

So, December?... Yeah?

There are still at least three months until the end of December! It is possible, but with all that craziness going on, we feel it can't be predicted with any certainty. To be upfront, we are discussing a contingency plan. That plan is that we will go ahead and ship out the completed items when they are ready, and then ship out your remaining items to you at a later date. The YOU! Drawings are expected to ship around the end of October, and the TY2 Statuettes will begin shipping as soon as they are completed.

Version 1.01 PATCH NOTES - Nintendo Switch

G'day to all our mates on Nintendo Switch.

Today we've launched our v1.01 update to Nintendo Switch! This patch has a lot of smaller fixes that were part of the PS4 and XB1 releases. Also, if you got your backer survey with your name for the credits in after we'd locked those, this will also update the backer credits, and it fixes the backer credit not automatically loading after the main credits play.

Here's a breakdown of the updates you can expect to see after installing the update.

Version 1.01 PATCH NOTES - Nintendo Switch

FEATURES/IMPROVEMENTS

• You can now ride on cars in town again!
• Added mission marker for Archie singing mission.
• Improved docked mode performance.
• Stereo sounds will now play correctly (they were previously playing in 3D causing audio phasing).
• Loading speed improvements have been made, when loading audio data.
• Improvement to music playback causing FPS hitches.
• Fixed issue where the credits would not proceed to the scrolling credits at the end of the hills hoist credits unless you pressed a button to skip the hills hoist.
• Backer credits have been updated.

CRASH FIXES

• Fix for occasional crash on exit issue.
• Misc memory leak fixes that eventually would lead to a crash.
• Fixed memory overwrite issue that could cause a crash.
• Fix for crash if an enemy was mid-attack sequence on a hero/friend when the hero/friend is in a chunk that is initialising or unloading. 
• Fix for bad memory access in vehicle physics.
• Fixed memory overwrite in Bunyips that could cause a crash.

MISC BUG FIXES

• Fix for small "fall" glitch when waiting for a new area to load. 
• Added correct audio to Krome logo video .
• Fix bug where the user could briefly make the control text box appear on screen when it should have been invisible, by touching/clicking the button area on it.
• Prevent TY sometimes jumping/biting/whatever when exiting the race results. 
• Rendering fixes for parts of town popping off when in the tunnel between Bush Rescue HQ and town proper.
• Fix carts floating off into space if the race is restarted while on a grind rail.
• Fixed some UI continuing to draw when in photo mode.
• Improved shockwave code.
• Fixed minimap rotation causing parts of the map to exceed the bounds (due to mask not rotating with it).
• Fix for bug of 2 x TYs in some cutscenes.
• Fixes for reflection system using incorrect level's reflections.
• Fixed underwater rendering issue.
• Fixed TY sometimes being unable to move after the Stone Beetle Temple Challenge minigame.
• Fix the informative text on selfie / TY's view for camerarang not resetting properly when exiting/re-entering selfie mode.
• Fix dark clouds creating artefacts if you jumped from the top of the manor in Burramudgee graveyard.
• Fixes for the bunyip mortar instructions for non-English to match to English.
• Fixed Duke's eyes turning red.
• Merged hearty beach water to improve reflections.
• Improved reflections in Helicopter minigames.

OTHER CHANGES

• PEGI Rating has changed to 7+.

Known Xbox One Bugs

Our team has still not been able to reproduce the last unfixed issues reported for the Xbox version. Not on our retail consoles, nor on our development kits.  It is important that we be able to replicate these issues internally so that we can see what is causing the problem. We continue to work with members of the TY fan community in playtesting possible causes (Thank you to those who are helping!), and are still seeking more data.

Once we are able to lock down the source of these issues, another patch will be submitted for Xbox.

"3 inch" Figurines - Series 2

This is the second set of figurines. (click here to check out Series 1 with TY, Shazza, Sly and Boss Cass)

Maaaate, these prototypes are schmick! This set of five characters features that know-it-all Julius, Frill, Maurie, Fluffy and Dennis, whose pants are a mystery. 

Each will come on its own individual backing card, though Maurie and Julius will come packaged together on one backing card.  This is a new creation and a limited production from the Kickstarter.

When an item is no longer visible on the post-Kickstarter shoppe, it means that no more units of that item are available.  For example, the vinyl has less than 15 units left. Like with the previous Kickstarter, it looks like this item will be the first to sell out.

Nope, we don't plan to make these items again. We make video games =)

Can I Get in the Credits /a YOU! Drawing / TY2 Statuette ?

These items were exclusive to the TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue HD Kickstarter.  Some items from the Kickstarter campaign are exclusive rewards for project backers, and therefore aren't available any longer.

Cool, you saw the announcement of the TY1 boxed copies coming October 15th!  Yes, some retailers have already made pre-orders available.
