Unboxing - TY2 Swim Short Update

Six sizes of shorts!
G'day Backers and Pre-order mates,
The prototypes of the shorts with the fabric and hardware changes arrived earlier this week. Check out the private-just-for-you unboxing video. (and hear heaps of crinkly plastic and rainbow lorikeets, too)
We've worn them, washed them, and examined them in detail.
The new lighter weight fabric feels good on land! They've also gone for a swim at the local pool.
The hardware was pre-tested in many aquatic conditions and did not rust, so we're expecting them to continue to hold up from the recent washing and swim.
There is one slight problem, and that is the lighter fabric gathered up too much with the elastic back and "shrunk" the waist.
The team is remaking another round of prototypes with gentler gathering in the back so that the waist circumference matches the size specs. Every pair will all have room to expand or cinch down tighter.
Expect a slight variation in measurements, but you can double-check your sizing below:

TY02 Statuette
We love you, but before you ask, the answer is no.
Figurines
Still on that slow boat. Seriously, they are on cargo ships out at sea. Arrival times into ports are expected in October, as of yesterday's update from the fulfillment warehouse. There will be weeks before they are inventoried and queued up to be picked for shipment.
This soft toy replica of TY's Ironbark boomerang tied for first place as the most wanted reward in our survey. Excitedly, a prototype with the foam core we always wanted has been sourced... Finally! This is what we've been asking for and trying to get since the beginning of time.
We'll get this prototype shipped to us after they reshape it. We're curious to see the ironbark texture up close, too.
The white shape is what we're aiming for. Get it? Aiming for? Right back atcha.

TY2 Swim Shorts Update
It was more than just the fabric that had a problem. Remember that update with gorgeous blue sky and beautiful red shorts? We left them hanging up to see what would happen... After a few days of rain, they rusted.
Since the last update, the manufacturing team has sourced new fabric and hardware samples, testing them all. Another set of six samples are being constructed. Spring is upon us in Australia and we're keen to give them a go and give the thumb's up. After the prototypes are approved, manufacturing will then order their materials for 550 pairs of TY2 shorts! We'll keep you posted.
Doomeranger part 2 comic
The Doomeranger part 2 comics you pre-ordered are expected to ship out end-September. They are at the warehouse and have been inventoried.

Let's all wish the little figurines a safe journey to your regional distribution hub. They are taking the slow boat, all five-thousand and fifty of them.
Of the 5050 units made, one-thousand of them are of TY the Tasmanian Tiger. Rare as hen's teeth, mate!
Checking our counts, there are just over a hundred left that are still available for pre-order.
